Online Therapy in Texas
I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist working with couples and individuals across Texas, entirely online. Most of my clients are in their twenties and thirties, at the point where relationships, careers, and identity are all being renegotiated at the same time and the usual coping has stopped covering it.
Austin, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, and the wide stretches between them. Texas is big enough that "find someone local" can mean a ninety-minute drive. It doesn't have to.
Yes, I'm licensed in Texas
I practice from California, so the reasonable first question is whether I can legally treat you in Texas. I can. I hold a Texas marriage and family therapist license, license #206141.
That means Texas rules govern our work together, the same as they would for a therapist with an office in Austin. The license is current and verifiable through the state.
Sessions that fit after the workday
I see clients Tuesday through Friday, 9am to 4pm Pacific. In Texas that's 11am to 6pm Central.
Which means the appointment slots that are hardest to get from a local practice, the late-afternoon and early-evening ones you can reach without taking time off, are ordinary midday appointments on my calendar. A 5:30pm session on a Thursday is a normal working hour for me. If you're in El Paso or far West Texas you're on Mountain time, so those hours run 10am to 5pm instead.
What we work on
Couples. The argument you've had so many times you could both perform the other's lines. Intimacy that's become effortful. The gradual shift from partners into people who coordinate logistics. I'm Level 3 Gottman trained and also use PACT and EFT. More on how I work with couples →
Individuals. Anxiety, relationship patterns that follow you from one relationship to the next, life transitions, and new parenthood. More on individual therapy →
Fees & insurance
Individual sessions are $275, couples sessions $300, with a limited number of sliding-scale spots for clients who need them. I don't bill insurance directly. Many Texas clients receive partial reimbursement through their out-of-network benefits, and I provide monthly superbills.
Common Questions
1
Do I need to be in Texas during our sessions?
Yes. What governs the session is where you physically are when it happens. I'm also licensed in California, Washington, Oregon, Arizona, Florida, and Virginia, so travel to those states doesn't interrupt anything.
2
I moved to Texas from California. Can I keep seeing you?
Yes, and this comes up often enough to be worth stating plainly. I'm licensed in both states, so a move from California to Texas doesn't mean finding a new therapist and starting the story over. It also works in the other direction, if Texas turns out to be temporary.
3
How often do we meet?
Everyone starts with at least one 50-minute session per week. Therapy is a real investment of time and money, and consistency is what determines whether that investment does anything.
