Online Therapy in Florida

I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist working with couples and individuals across Florida by telehealth. Most of my clients are in their twenties and thirties, in the years where relationships, work, and identity are all shifting at once and the old strategies have quietly stopped working.

Miami, Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, and the smaller places where the wait for a therapist taking new clients stretches into months. Meeting online shortens that list considerably.

How I'm authorized to work in Florida

I'm licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in California, and I'm registered with the Florida Department of Health as an out-of-state telehealth provider, registration #TPMF350.

Florida created this registration specifically so that clinicians licensed in other states can provide telehealth to Florida residents. It's a formal, verifiable status in the state's telehealth provider registry, and it's what allows us to work together. It also means our work happens by video rather than in an office, which is how I practice everywhere regardless.

Sessions that fit after the workday

I see clients Tuesday through Friday, 9am to 4pm Pacific. In Florida that's noon to 7pm Eastern.

So the appointments that are hardest to book with a local practice, the after-work slots that don't require taking time off, are ordinary midday appointments on my end. You can take a 6pm session on a Wednesday and still have your evening. If you're in the western panhandle you're on Central time, which puts those hours at 11am to 6pm.

What we work on

Couples. Arguments that repeat without resolving, closeness that's become harder to reach, the slow drift into feeling like housemates. I'm Level 3 Gottman trained and also draw on PACT and EFT. More on how I work with couples →

Individuals. Anxiety, relationship patterns that keep recurring, life transitions, and new parenthood.  More on individual therapy →

Fees & insurance

Sessions are $275 for individuals and $300 for couples, with a limited number of sliding-scale spots. I don't bill insurance directly, but many Florida clients receive partial reimbursement through their out-of-network benefits, and I provide monthly superbills.

Common Questions

1

Are you licensed in Florida?

Not exactly, and the distinction is worth understanding. My clinical license is in California. Florida has a separate registration for out-of-state telehealth providers, which I hold, and which is what authorizes me to treat Florida residents remotely. Practically it means the same thing for you: you're working with a licensed clinician operating under a status the state of Florida issued and can verify.

2

Do I need to be in Florida during our sessions?

Yes. Your physical location at the time of the session is what determines which state's rules apply. I'm also authorized in California, Washington, Oregon, Arizona, Texas, and Virginia, so traveling to those states doesn't interrupt our work.

3

How often do we meet?

Everyone begins with at least one 50-minute session per week. Consistency is what makes therapy work, and it's the honest answer about what the process asks of you.

A free 20-minute call to talk about what's bringing you in, how I work, and whether it feels like a good fit.
