Online Therapy in Oregon

I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist working with individuals and couples across Oregon, entirely online. My clients are mostly in their twenties and thirties, navigating the stretch where relationships, careers, and sense of self are all in motion at the same time.

Portland, Eugene, Bend, and the smaller places in between where the nearest therapist taking new clients might be an hour's drive away. Working online removes the geography from the problem.

Yes, I'm licensed in Oregon

I practice from California, so the reasonable question is whether I'm allowed to treat you in Oregon. I am. I hold an Oregon marriage and family therapist license through the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists, license #T3214.

That means Oregon's rules govern my work with you exactly as they would for a therapist sitting in an office in Portland. The license is real, current, and verifiable through the board.

We're on the same clock

I see clients Tuesday through Friday, 9am to 4pm Pacific. Same hours you're already living in.

It's a small thing that turns out to matter. No mental arithmetic when you book, no sessions that land at awkward hours, no confusion twice a year when the clocks change. A Thursday at 10am means the same thing to both of us.

What we work on

Couples. The same argument resurfacing in different clothes. Distance that crept in gradually enough that neither of you can point to when. Feeling more like people who run a household together than people in a relationship. I'm Level 3 Gottman trained and also work from PACT and EFT. More on how I work with couples →

Individuals. Anxiety, relationship patterns that keep repeating, major life transitions, and the identity questions that come with new parenthood. More on individual therapy →

Fees & insurance

Individual sessions are $275 and couples sessions are $300, with a limited number of sliding-scale spots available. I'm not in network with insurance panels, but many Oregon clients are partially reimbursed through their out-of-network benefits, and I provide monthly superbills to make that straightforward.

Common Questions

1

Do I need to be physically in Oregon during our sessions?

Yes. What matters legally is where you're physically located when we meet, not your mailing address. I'm also licensed in California, Washington, Arizona, Texas, Florida, and Virginia, so travel to any of those is fine.

2

My partner and I live in different states. Can we still do couples therapy?

Often yes, and this is worth asking about rather than assuming. Because licensure follows each person's location, couples therapy across state lines works when I'm licensed in both places. With seven states covered, a lot of long-distance and recently-relocated couples fall inside that. Ask on the consultation call and we'll sort it out.

3

How quickly can we start?

I usually have consultation availability within a week, and we'd typically begin regular sessions shortly after that. All clients start with at least one 50-minute session per week, since consistency is what makes the work hold.

A free 20-minute call to talk about what's bringing you in, how I work, and whether it feels like a good fit.
